Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated IT Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, laptops, printers, and related IT equipment. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and customer support.
Key ResponsibilitiesHardware Installation & Repair
- Diagnose and repair desktop computers, laptops, and workstations.
- Assemble and configure new computer systems.
- Install and replace hardware components such as RAM, SSD/HDD, motherboard, power supply, display, keyboard, and batteries.
- Perform preventive maintenance and hardware health checks.
Software Installation & Support
- Install and configure Windows operating systems and device drivers.
- Install, update, and troubleshoot application software.
- Configure antivirus and endpoint security software.
- Perform operating system formatting, backup, and data recovery where required.
Printer Installation & Repair
- Install and configure inkjet, laser, and multifunction printers.
- Diagnose and repair printer hardware and software issues.
- Replace printer consumables and defective components.
- Configure printers on wired and wireless networks.
Networking & System Configuration
- Configure LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and network printers.
- Troubleshoot internet connectivity and local network issues.
- Set up shared folders, printers, and user access.
Customer Service & Technical Support
- Provide on-site and remote technical support.
- Explain technical issues and solutions to customers in a clear manner.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and service requests.
- Maintain professional behavior while visiting customer locations.
Documentation & Inventory
- Prepare installation and service reports.
- Maintain records of repairs, warranty claims, and spare parts.
- Track service schedules and inventory of IT components.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience in laptop and desktop repair.
- Knowledge of printer installation and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Windows installation and software configuration.
- Basic networking knowledge (LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and antivirus software.
- Good communication and customer handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualification
- Diploma/ITI/B.Tech/BCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.) will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in computer, laptop, and printer installation and repair.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge and hands-on skills may also apply.
