Job Overview
Swastik Industrial Works is seeking a skilled and proactive Assistant Warehouse Manager to support, supervise, and enhance warehouse and logistics operations within our Stainless Steel Fasteners division. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership qualities, operational expertise, and the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and safety across all warehouse functions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure systematic storage, proper handling, and compliance with warehouse standards.
- Monitor material movement to maintain efficient workflow and minimize delays.
- Conduct cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Identify stock discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
- Manage warehouse staff, helpers, and equipment operators.
- Allocate daily tasks, track performance, and conduct necessary training.
- Maintain discipline, productivity, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee the GRN process including quality and quantity checks.
- Coordinate dispatch schedules with sales, logistics partners, and transport vendors.
- Ensure timely deliveries and resolve issues related to shipments or documentation.
- Maintain records of inward/outward materials, stock levels, and dispatch details.
- Prepare daily MIS, inventory summaries, and shortage reports.
- Ensure compliance with audit and documentation standards.
- Ensure safe handling of materials to minimize damage or mix-ups.
- Implement and monitor warehouse safety measures and SOP adherence.
- Conduct regular housekeeping and storage inspections.
- Identify opportunities to optimize warehouse layout and operational workflow.
- Assist in implementing best practices, lean methods, and SOP enhancements.
- Recommend improvements in material handling and process efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical or Engineering background preferred
- (Graduates: BBA, BBM, BMS, BCOM and MBA can also apply).
- Strong leadership and team-handling capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet dispatch deadlines.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Sound understanding of warehouse safety practices and compliance.

Compensation
As per industry standards and based on experience.
