The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the company’s insurance portfolio. This role focuses on acquiring new clients, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, and identifying business opportunities to increase revenue.
Responsibilities:Business Development & Sales:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the insurance sector.
- Generate leads through field visits, networking, and digital platforms.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Promote and sell insurance products to individuals and corporate clients.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and partners.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable insurance solutions.
- Handle client queries, follow-ups, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Market Research:
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer preferences.
- Identify potential areas for business expansion.
- Provide feedback to management on market opportunities.
Coordination & Support:
- Coordinate with internal teams like underwriting and operations for smooth policy processing.
- Ensure proper documentation and timely submission of proposals.
Revenue Growth:
- Develop strategies to increase sales and maximize revenue.
- Cross-sell and up-sell insurance products to existing clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in insurance sales or business development.
Skills Required:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Sales-driven mindset with target orientation.
- Good knowledge of insurance products and market trends.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, CRM tools).
