Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented DTF Printing Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, managing, and maintaining our xTool Direct-to-Film (DTF) printer to produce custom T-shirts, hoodies, totes, and other apparel/merchandise.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up, run, and monitor the xTool DTF printer, powder shaker/dryer, and heat press machine for daily production.
- Pre-Press & File Handling: Load design files into the RIP/printing software, adjust color settings, scale images, and prepare files for optimal print output.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect printed films for color accuracy, resolution, ink alignment, and powder application before heat transferring.
- Heat Transfer: Expertly align and transfer printed DTF films onto various substrates including cotton, polyester, blends, canvas, and accessories using a heat press.
- Maintenance & Upkeep: Perform daily printhead cleaning, nozzle checks, ink white circulation, and routine preventive maintenance to prevent clogging and downtime.
- Inventory & Waste Control: Track white ink, color ink, DTF films, and adhesive powder stock levels while minimizing material waste during production.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in DTF printing, UV printing, or screen/digital apparel printing. (Experience with xTool hardware or desktop DTF setups is a major plus).
- Software Knowledge: Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with DTF RIP software, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or Illustrator.
- Technical Aptitude: Understanding of heat press pressure/temperature/time settings, color matching, and substrate compatibility.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot minor printing defects (banding, color bleed, powder unevenness, or film slipping).
- Education: 10th/12th Pass or Diploma/ITI in printing technology or graphics.
