Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Toolmaker to join our organization. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about precision manufacturing and eager to build a career in mold making and tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the assembly, maintenance, and repair of plastic injection molds.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical blueprints.
- Support senior toolmakers in mold modifications and troubleshooting.
- Operate conventional toolroom machines such as milling, grinding, drilling, and lathe machines.
- Perform preventive maintenance on molds to ensure optimal production efficiency.
- Inspect finished tools and molds for accuracy and quality compliance.
- Maintain proper documentation of tooling activities and maintenance records.
- Follow workplace safety standards and quality control procedures.
Educational Requirements
- Diploma in Tool and Die Making OR
- Diploma in Precision Manufacturing
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and mold components.
- Familiarity with injection mold structure and components is an advantage.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.).
- Basic machining skills in toolroom operations.
Experience
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a toolroom or plastic injection molding industry preferred.
