Job SummaryWe are looking for a proactive and technically skilled L1 Engineer to provide first-level support for desktop systems, end-user devices, and network infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting users, and assisting with switching and basic network operations .Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and standard business applications.
- Resolve user issues related to hardware, software, email, and network connectivity.
- Perform installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting of network switches.
- Monitor LAN/WAN connectivity and escalate complex network issues to higher-level teams.
- Assist in switch port configuration, VLAN assignments, and patch management under supervision.
- Perform network cable testing, patching, and rack management activities.
- Configure and troubleshoot IP phones, Wi-Fi access points, and network-connected devices.
- Manage user accounts, password resets, and access requests.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and update support documentation.
- Respond to service tickets and ensure timely resolution as per SLA.
- Coordinate with L2/L3 teams for issue escalation and resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Desktop Support, IT Helpdesk, or Network Support.
- Good knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, and basic networking concepts.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and switching fundamentals.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and user support.
- Familiarity with Cisco, HP, Aruba, Juniper, or similar network switches.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
- Basic understanding of routing and network security concepts.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
