Senior IT Administrator

We’re looking for a Senior IT Administrator who can take ownership of our IT infrastructure, keep systems running smoothly, and make sure our hardware, software, networks, and data are handled properly.
This role is not just about fixing laptops when something breaks.
It’s about keeping the entire IT environment secure, organised, reliable, and running without unnecessary downtime.
You’ll be working with systems and information that require discretion, confidentiality, and responsible handling of sensitive data.
What you’ll do
- Manage and maintain the organisation’s IT infrastructure, systems, hardware and software.
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, network equipment and other IT assets.
- Manage software installations, updates, licences, access and user permissions.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and system-related issues.
- Monitor system performance and ensure IT infrastructure remains reliable and available.
- Maintain proper records of IT assets, software licences, systems and configurations.
- Implement and maintain data security, backups and access-control practices.
- Ensure sensitive company information and data is handled with strict confidentiality.
- Support employees with day-to-day IT requirements and resolve issues efficiently.
- Identify potential IT risks and recommend practical improvements.
- Ensure systems are updated, secure and compliant with internal IT policies.
- Support onboarding and offboarding by setting up or disabling devices, accounts and access.
What we’re looking for
3+ years in IT/System Administration.- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
- Strong hardware + software knowledge.
- Good understanding of networks, operating systems and IT infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with user access, permissions and IT security.
- Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential company data.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise issues and take ownership.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Reliable, discreet and proactive.
