Chi Networks is looking to hire an L2 Linux Engineer with hands-on experience in Linux administration and Zabbix monitoring. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting production environments in a 24×7 managed services setup.
Key Responsibilities
Provide L2-level support for Linux-based systems (production and non-production)
Monitor system health and performance using Zabbix
Investigate alerts, incidents, and performance issues and take corrective actions
Handle escalations from L1 support teams and ensure SLA adherence
Perform routine system administration tasks (user management, patching, services)
Assist with server hardening, security updates, and capacity monitoring.
Coordinate with network, storage, and application teams during incident resolution
Maintain documentation, SOPs, and monitoring configurations
Participate in rotational shifts supporting 24×7×365 operations
Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in Linux system administration (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu)
Strong hands-on experience with Zabbix monitoring (configuration, alerts, dashboards)
Good knowledge of:
Linux OS internals, processes, and services
Basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, ports)
Shell scripting (basic to intermediate)
Experience working in a ticketing / ITIL-based support environment
Exposure to virtualization or cloud platforms is a plus
