Job Title: Maintenance Electrician Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
- Install, maintain, and replace electrical wiring, switches, sockets, DB panels, MCC panels, and other electrical components.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and company procedures.
- Maintain maintenance records and report completed work to the supervisor.
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
- Coordinate with other maintenance teams to complete assigned tasks.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and follow all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) requirements.
Requirements
- ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in electrical maintenance.
- Good knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and use testing instruments such as a multimeter and clamp meter.
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Willingness to work in shifts and attend emergency breakdowns when required.
Preferred Skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems is an advantage.
