Personal Assistant to Managing Director — B2B Gold Jewellery (Sowcarpet, Chennai)
About the role
We are seeking an experienced, professional Personal Assistant to support the Managing Director of a fast-growing B2B gold jewellery company based in Sowcarpet, Chennai. The MD is actively involved in trade, business networking and the Jain community; the ideal PA will be socially confident, discreet, and hands-on — managing both business and personal tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the MD’s daily schedule, appointments and travel: arrange meetings, calls, and calendar management; book domestic and international tickets; prepare itineraries and travel documents.
- Coordinate meetings and events: liaise with clients, suppliers, associations and community contacts; set up meetings, confirm logistics and follow up on action items.
- Personal support: handle personal errands, bookings, household coordination, and other ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Communication and representation: answer calls and messages professionally in Hindi and English; interact with members of the Jain society and various industry associations on behalf of the MD when needed.
- Documentation and follow-up: prepare briefing notes, maintain contact lists, track deliverables and follow up with stakeholders.
- Office support: assist with basic office administration, vendor coordination, and managing small projects or activities assigned by the MD.
- Maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and work with cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
Candidate profile
- Age: Preferably between 30 and 50 years; mature and well-groomed appearance.
- Language: Fluent in Hindi and good command of English. Tamil/local language skills helpful.
- Experience: Proven relevant experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or similar role supporting senior leadership—preferably in jewellery, wholesale, trading, or related B2B sectors.
- Social skills: Comfortable networking and representing the MD in community and association settings, particularly within the Jain society and trade groups.
- Availability: Willing to work core hours from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (flexible when travel or events require).
- Location: Resident of or willing to commute to Sowcarpet, Chennai.
- Skills: Excellent communication, strong organization and time-management, confident phone etiquette, travel booking experience, basic IT skills (email, WhatsApp, calendar apps), and ability to multitask.

Compensation and benefits
- Competitive salary (25000 to 35000)
