Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Electrician to lead our Electrical Department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems and maintenance within a manufacturing environment, with strong leadership capabilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee and manage all electrical maintenance activities within the manufacturing plant.
- Ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of electrical systems.
- Lead and mentor a team of electricians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to avoid production interruptions.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with overall manufacturing operations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Manage the electrical department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the department.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical systems to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers as needed for specialized electrical work or equipment procurement.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
**Qualifications:**
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment used in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and electrical diagnostic tools.
