Bending Operator – Roles & Responsibilities
Experience Required: 3–4 Years
Industry: Heavy Fabrication / Manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC/NC Press Brake and Bending Machines as per production requirements.
- Perform bending of sheet metal and fabricated components according to engineering drawings.
- Set up machine parameters, tools, punches, and dies for different bending operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, bend schedules, and work orders.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy, bend angles, and quality standards are maintained.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and periodic checks during production.
- Minimize material wastage and optimize machine utilization.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and PPC teams to meet production targets.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic maintenance activities.
- Identify and report machine abnormalities or tooling issues.
- Maintain production records and daily output reports.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the work area.
- Ensure timely completion of jobs as per production schedules.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience in CNC/NC Press Brake & Bending Machine Operation
- Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings
- Knowledge of Sheet Metal Fabrication and Bending Processes
- Understanding of Bend Allowance, Bend Deduction, and Tool Selection
- Experience in Measuring Instruments (Vernier, Height Gauge, Protractor, etc.)
- Basic Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting Skills
- Knowledge of Safety and 5S Practices
Educational Qualification:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
Experience:
- 3–4 Years of experience as a Bending Operator in Heavy Fabrication, Sheet Metal, Trailer Manufacturing, Automotive, or Engineering Manufacturing Industry.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
