Position Summary:
Longterm Technology Services (LTS) is seeking an Application Engineer – Teamcenter to help our customers improve product development processes, manage engineering data, and maximize the value of their PLM investment with a focus on the application, configuration, and business process side of Teamcenter opposed to the operational side.
The successful candidate will work directly with customers to understand business requirements, configure Teamcenter functionality, improve workflows, support users, and participate in implementation projects. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and business teams to deliver practical solutions that drive measurable business value.
This is not an infrastructure or IT operations role. We are seeking candidates whose experience is centered on Teamcenter applications, PLM processes, workflow configuration, engineering data management, and user enablement rather than server administration, database administration, environment maintenance, networking, or cloud operations.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in Teamcenter, PLM, PDM, engineering software, or application consulting who enjoy solving business and application challenges while developing customer-facing consulting skills.
Position Key Responsibilities:
Teamcenter Application Configuration & Support
- Configure and support Teamcenter application functionality, workflows, business rules, and user processes.
- Troubleshoot application, workflow, and product data issues within Teamcenter.
- Support end users in the effective use of Teamcenter and PLM best practices.
- Analyze customer requirements and recommend application-focused solutions.
- Collaborate with customers and project teams to improve PLM processes and user adoption.
- Assist with testing, validation, and deployment of new Teamcenter capabilities.
Business Process Improvement
- Gather, analyze, and document customer business requirements.
- Support the design and optimization of engineering and product lifecycle management processes.
- Configure workflows, release processes, and data management practices to align with customer requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, and data governance.
- Help customers adopt PLM best practices and improve operational efficiency.
Customer Engagement
- Participate in customer workshops, implementation projects, and project meetings.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, manufacturing teams, and business stakeholders.
- Provide recommendations based on Teamcenter capabilities and industry best practices.
- Deliver user training, knowledge transfer sessions, and application demonstrations.
- Build strong customer relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
Data Management
- Support product data migration and validation activities.
- Maintain product data quality and integrity within Teamcenter.
- Assist customers with document management, product structures, and data governance processes.
- Support engineering change and release management initiatives.
Documentation
- Create and maintain user guides, training materials, and application documentation.
- Document system configurations, workflows, and business processes.
- Maintain project documentation and knowledge base content.

What You Will Bring to the Role:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise engineering software, PLM, PDM, or related business applications.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
