Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on EDP / ERP & IT Incharge to join our upcoming manufacturing unit in Surat. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's IT infrastructure, supporting ERP implementation and day-to-day operations, supervising data entry processes, preparing MIS reports, and ensuring accurate digital records across production, stores, purchase, sales, dispatch, quality, accounts, and administration. The role requires close coordination with management, plant teams, ERP/software vendors, and IT service providers to build an efficient, data-driven manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support ERP implementation, configuration, testing, and daily operations across all departments.
- Coordinate with ERP/software vendors for issue resolution, report development, and user support.
- Maintain master data including item, customer, vendor, machine, process, and user access records.
- Supervise and train Data Entry Operators (DEOs) to ensure timely and accurate data entry.
- Monitor production, inventory, purchase, dispatch, and quality data for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly MIS reports and management dashboards.
- Generate reports on production, inventory, machine utilization, efficiency, wastage, dispatch, pending orders, and quality performance.
- Manage IT infrastructure including computers, printers, scanners, networking, internet, CCTV, barcode systems, and basic security.
- Coordinate with hardware, networking, CCTV, and software vendors.
- Maintain data backups, IT asset records, user permissions, and system security.
- Troubleshoot day-to-day hardware, software, ERP, and network issues.
- Drive digitization of manual processes and improve system-based tracking across the plant.
- Train users on ERP systems and promote best practices for data accuracy and process discipline.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in EDP, ERP Support, IT Administration, MIS, or Manufacturing Software.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience in Textiles, Plastics, Woven Sacks, FIBC, Packaging, Extrusion, Weaving, Printing, or Stitching industries will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, MIS reporting, hardware, networking, printers, scanners, and barcode systems.
- Knowledge of Power BI or Excel Dashboards will be an added advantage.
- Good communication, analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Hands-on approach with strong ownership, attention to detail, and willingness to work on the shop floor when required.
