About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer Intern to join our product development team. This role is ideal for candidates interested in working on plastic medical devices and components, supporting design, development, and optimization activities using modern CAD tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of plastic components for medical products
- Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software
- Support engineers in product design, prototyping, and testing activities
- Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and design reports
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
- Participate in design reviews and implement feedback
- Assist in material selection and basic analysis for plastic parts
- Ensure designs comply with quality and regulatory requirements (medical standards preferred)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field
- Basic knowledge of plastic product design and manufacturing processes (injection molding preferred)
- Proficiency in at least one design software:
- SolidWorks / CATIA / Creo / AutoCAD
- Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T basics is a plus
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to medical device design or regulated industries
- Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles
- Familiarity with simulation tools (optional)
- Internship/project experience in product design
Salary: 15K per Month
Internship Duration: 12 months
