Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and skilled Bakery & Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods, pastries, desserts, cakes, and confectionery items while maintaining consistency, hygiene, and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, desserts, and confectionery items
- Develop and decorate pastries and desserts according to quality standards
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and assist in inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bakery section
- Follow food safety regulations and company guidelines
- Minimize wastage and ensure efficient use of ingredients
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth daily operations
- Stay updated with industry trends and new baking techniques
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience as a Bakery & Pastry Chef
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry production, and dessert preparation
- Creativity and attention to detail in presentation
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Culinary or bakery certification is an added advantage
