Job Description – MEP/HVAC Estimation & Tendering Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled MEP/HVAC Estimation & Tendering Engineer with 3–6 years of experience in pre-construction activities, costing, budgeting, and tender management. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing tender submissions, evaluating vendor quotations, and supporting project budgeting during the initiation stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed pre-closure cost estimates for MEP/HVAC projects.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and develop comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Review, analyze, and validate BOQs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Obtain, evaluate, and compare vendor and subcontractor quotations from commercial and technical perspectives.
- Perform commercial evaluations and recommend cost-effective procurement strategies.
- Support budgeting, cost planning, and financial forecasting during project initiation and pre-construction phases.
- Prepare and submit MEP/HVAC tenders, bids, and commercial proposals within stipulated timelines.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project execution teams to gather inputs for estimation and tendering activities.
- Identify project risks, pricing opportunities, and value-engineering options to improve profitability.
- Maintain cost databases, vendor pricing records, and market intelligence for accurate estimation.
- Participate in tender clarification meetings, negotiations, and client discussions as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in MEP/HVAC estimation and tendering.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Pre-closure costing and estimation
- BOQ preparation and analysis
- Vendor quotation management and commercial evaluation
- Budgeting and cost planning
- MEP/HVAC tendering and bid management
- Good understanding of HVAC systems, MEP services, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, estimation tools, and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in commercial, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and cost optimization mindset.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
