Job Description (JD) – Art Teacher (Primary & Secondary School)
Position: Art Teacher
Department: Visual Arts
Reporting To: Principal / Academic Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver creative and engaging Art lessons for primary and secondary students.
Teach a variety of art forms such as drawing, painting, sketching, colouring, craft, collage, clay modelling, and mixed media techniques.
Encourage creativity, imagination, self-expression, and appreciation of art.
Introduce students to basic art elements, principles of design, and renowned artists appropriate to their age.
Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, worksheets (if required), and assessments.
Assess students' artistic progress and maintain records of performance.
Organize classroom displays, exhibitions, and showcase students' artwork.
Guide studets in preparing for art competitions, exhibitions, and school events.
Maintain art supplies, equipment, and ensure a safe, clean, and organized art room.
Integrate art with other subjects whenever appropriate.
Support school events by assisting with stage décor, bulletin boards, displays, and creative projects.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development programmes, and other school activities.
Foster an inclusive, positive, and encouraging classroom environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts (BFA), Applied Arts, Visual Arts, or a related field.
B.Ed. is preferred (as per school requirements).
Relevant teaching experience in primary and/or secondary schools is preferred.

Strong artistic and creative abilities.
Knowledge of various art techniques, materials, and mediums.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to inspire creativity and confidence in students.
Good organisational and planning skills.
Proficiency in using digital tools for art presentations and maintaining records.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
