Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Physics Lab Assistant to manage our physics laboratory. In this role, you will work closely with our physics faculty to set up experiments, maintain sensitive laboratory instruments, and ensure a safe, organized learning environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Experiment Setup: Prepare, calibrate, and arrange laboratory equipment, apparatus, and materials required for daily practical classes and board examinations.
- Lab Maintenance & Inventory: Clean, organize, and maintain all physics instruments (like galvanometers, vernier calipers, prisms, and optical benches). Keep an updated inventory log of all lab assets.
- Safety Enforcement: Ensure strict adherence to lab safety protocols. Monitor students during practical sessions to ensure equipment is handled correctly and safely.
- Procurement & Repairs: Identify broken or malfunctioning equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, and coordinate with vendors for repairs or purchasing new lab supplies.
- Documentation: Maintain lab registers, student attendance logs for practicals, and records of broken or issued apparatus.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
What We Are Looking For:
- Education (Mandatory): B.Sc. in Physics (Bachelor of Science in Physics) from a recognized university.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience working as a lab assistant in a school, college, or academic institute.
- Technical Skills:
- Thorough understanding of high school/higher secondary physics concepts and practical apparatus.
- Hands-on ability to set up electrical, optical, and mechanical experiments.
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel) for inventory management.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
