Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer to design, develop, and manage enterprise-level dashboards and reporting solutions for a Middle East client project. The role involves end-to-end ownership of BI solutions, including data modeling, dashboard design, performance optimization, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into effective dashboard solutions
- Design wireframes, mock-ups, and dashboard layouts for stakeholder review
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports and semantic data models
- Build advanced DAX measures, KPIs, and calculated columns
- Design optimized data models following best practices (Star/Snowflake schema)
- Enhance and redesign existing dashboards for better performance and usability
- Implement and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS)
- Perform data validation and unit testing against source systems
- Support UAT cycles and resolve defects raised by business users
- Publish and deploy reports to Power BI Service with proper workspace governance
- Prepare technical documentation including data models, DAX logic, and refresh schedules
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and database teams throughout the development lifecycle
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–4+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development
- Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling
- Experience designing semantic models and KPI-driven dashboards
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis, transformation, and validation
- Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS)
- Strong understanding of dashboard UX/UI design principles and best practices
- Experience working with enterprise data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, Excel, APIs, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
