Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Controller with strong expertise in interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in interpreting 2D and 3D production drawings, preparing production cut lists, material estimation, BOQ preparation, and coordinating with design, procurement, and production teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret 2D CAD drawings and 3D production drawings for interior fit-out projects.
- Prepare accurate production drawings for factory execution.
- Develop detailed cut lists for modular furniture, joinery, and customized interior components.
- Prepare comprehensive material take-offs and quantity estimations based on approved drawings.
- Generate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for project execution and client submissions.
- Coordinate with the design, production, procurement, and site execution teams to ensure drawing accuracy and material availability.
- Verify dimensions and resolve discrepancies before production.
- Monitor project progress against planned schedules and identify potential delays.
- Prepare procurement material lists and coordinate with the purchase department.
- Maintain drawing revisions, production records, and documentation.
- Assist in project planning, costing, budgeting, and progress reporting.
- Support value engineering by identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, client specifications, and project requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Good understanding of 3D production drawings and furniture detailing.
- Experience in preparing production cut lists.
- Expertise in material estimation and quantity take-offs.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation and project costing.
- Good understanding of interior materials such as plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, hardware, glass, stone, metal, gypsum, and false ceiling systems.
- Ability to read architectural, interior, and MEP drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for estimation, tracking, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in turnkey interior projects for corporate offices, commercial spaces, retail, hospitality, or banking sectors.
- Familiarity with ERP software and project management tools will be an added advantage.
