Role Overview
We are looking for a Chemist with 3–5 years of experience in the Metals Manufacturing Industry (preferably steel). . The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of testing procedures, BIS Standards applicable, documentation, and laboratory operations, along with proficiency in preparation of computerised Material Test Reports (in MS Word & MS Excel) and clear communication skills.
This role requires attention to detail, responsibility, and the ability to supervise quality and testing processes efficiently within the factory setup.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Testing & Quality Support
Conduct basic testing procedures related to steel wire manufacturing.
Assist in maintaining quality standards and testing records.
Monitor and report test observations accurately.
2. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain testing logs, reports, and laboratory documentation.
Prepare and organize records in a systematic manner.
Support internal reporting requirements when needed.
3. Computer & Communication Tasks
Use MS Word and Excel for reporting and documentation purposes.
Send and manage professional emails related to testing and coordination.
Coordinate with internal teams regarding testing updates and requirements.
4. Operational Support
Assist the production and quality teams in day-to-day activities.
Ensure proper handling of samples and testing materials.
Follow standard safety and operational procedures within the factory.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3–5 years of experience as a Chemist in a steel wire manufacturing setup
- Knowledge of testing procedures and quality processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to send and manage professional emails
- Good organizational and documentation skills
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and disciplined approach to work
- Prior steel wire manufacturing industry experience is preferred
