Job Summary
The Special Educator is responsible for identifying, assessing, and supporting students with special educational needs (SEN). The role involves developing individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting instructional methods, collaborating with teachers and parents, and ensuring an inclusive learning environment that promotes the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Assessment & Support
- Conduct educational assessments to identify students' learning needs and challenges.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs.
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records.
Instruction & Intervention
- Design and deliver specialized instructional strategies and interventions.
- Modify curriculum, teaching methods, and assessment techniques to support diverse learners.
- Use assistive technologies and specialized learning materials when appropriate.
- Support students with learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and other special needs.
Collaboration
- Work closely with classroom teachers to implement inclusive teaching practices.
- Collaborate with counselors, psychologists, therapists, and other professionals.
- Conduct parent meetings and provide guidance on supporting student learning at home.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Relevant education from a recognized university
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in using digital tools for lesson delivery and student engagement
