Profile: Head of Production-Solar-Surat-15 LPA
Experience:
10-15 years in manufacturing, with 5+ years in a leadership role in Solar PV module production
Salary Range: 13 to 15 LPA
Roles:
1. Production Planning & Execution Target Achievement: Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts. End-to-End Oversight: Manage all stages: Cell Stringing Layup Lamination Framing Junction Box Fixing Testing (EL/Flash). Capacity Optimization: Maximize plant throughput and manpower utilization to ensure the facility meets its rated GW capacity.
2. Quality & Compliance Standard Adherence: Ensure every module meets BIS, IEC (61215/61730), and ALMM guidelines. Yield Management: Monitor /"First Time Right/" (FTR) ratios and minimize cell breakage or lamination defects. Root Cause Analysis: Lead RCA and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) for any technical deviations or rejections.
3. Cost & Process Optimization Wastage Control: Minimize material scrap, particularly for high-value components like solar cells, EVA, and silver paste. Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies to reduce the cycle time and /"Cost per Watt./"
4. Plant Maintenance & Safety Uptime Management: Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive upkeep of critical machinery (Stringers, Laminators, Sun Simulators). EHS Leadership: Enforce strict health and safety protocols (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure a zero-accident workspace.
5. Leadership & Team Management Shift Management: Oversee multiple production shifts and manage a diverse workforce of engineers, supervisors, and operators. Skill Development: Identify training gaps and conduct regular workshops on machine handling and quality standards.
Qualification:
B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering MBA in Operations (preferred)
