Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Supervisor to manage inventory operations, maintain accurate stock records, and ensure seamless material flow across warehouse and production activities. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in inventory control, stock reconciliation, and warehouse operations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory levels regularly to ensure optimal stock availability and prevent stock shortages or overstocking.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials with accurate documentation.
- Implement and maintain stock rotation practices such as FIFO/LIFO to ensure proper inventory management.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and periodic inventory audits.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Update inventory records promptly after every stock transaction to maintain data accuracy.
- Ensure proper storage, organization, and labelling of materials for easy identification and retrieval.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Ensure proper handling of materials to minimize damage, spoilage, or inventory loss.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports on stock levels, stock movement, and variances.
- Analyse inventory trends and consumption patterns to support effective stock planning and forecasting.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and QA teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Support order fulfilment by ensuring accurate and timely material issuance.
- Maintain compliance with company inventory policies, warehouse procedures, and safety standards.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in inventory management, stock control, or warehouse operations. (Preferably Candidates based on Coimbatore)
- Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with FIFO/LIFO and stock reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
