Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment across the school campus. The role ensures uninterrupted electrical services while maintaining compliance with electrical safety standards to provide a safe learning and working environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, switchboards, distribution panels, lighting systems, fans, sockets, and power outlets.
- Perform preventive maintenance of electrical systems to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and restore services promptly.
- Maintain and repair electrical equipment, pumps, motors, generators, UPS systems, and control panels.
- Monitor and maintain campus lighting, including classrooms, laboratories, offices, auditoriums, playgrounds, and outdoor areas.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations to identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for major electrical works.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Monitor inventory of electrical tools, spare parts, and consumables.
- Assist during school events by ensuring uninterrupted power supply and supporting temporary electrical installations.
- Respond promptly to emergency electrical breakdowns.
- Support energy conservation initiatives and recommend improvements to reduce power consumption.
- Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- ITI in Electrician Trade (Mandatory).
- Wireman/Electrician License as per State Electrical Board regulations is preferred.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance.
- Experience in schools, educational institutions, hospitals, or commercial buildings is preferred.
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and power distribution.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Familiarity with DG sets, UPS systems, pumps, and motors.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
