Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and technology-driven TGT Computer Science Teacher to teach students in Grades VI to X. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, practical computer skills, and the ability to make technology learning engaging and relevant. The teacher will be responsible for developing students' digital literacy, computational thinking, coding, and problem-solving skills in alignment with the CBSE curriculum.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Computer Science lessons as per CBSE guidelines.
- Teach concepts such as computer fundamentals, programming, digital literacy, cybersecurity, networking, and emerging technologies.
- Introduce students to coding and computational thinking through age-appropriate activities and projects.
- Develop lesson plans, practical exercises, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct theory and practical examinations and maintain academic records.
- Encourage project-based learning and innovation among students.
Laboratory Management
- Supervise and manage computer laboratory sessions effectively.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety of computer systems and related equipment.
- Coordinate with the IT team regarding software installations and technical requirements.
- Maintain inventory and records of laboratory resources.
Classroom Management
- Create a positive, disciplined, and technology-enabled learning environment.
- Foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and responsible digital citizenship.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and support.
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate student progress and concerns to parents during PTMs and other interactions.
- Collaborate with teachers and coordinators to integrate technology into learning.
- Participate in school activities, events, competitions, exhibitions, and academic initiatives.
Professional Development
- Stay updated with advancements in computer science, educational technology, and CBSE requirements.
- Attend workshops, training programs, and professional development sessions.
- Implement innovative teaching methodologies and digital tools in the classroom.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science/IT/MCA is preferred.
- CTET/TET qualification is desirable.
Experience
- 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE or reputed school.
- Experience teaching Computer Science to middle and secondary school students is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of computer fundamentals, programming languages, and digital technologies.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and educational technology tools.
- Ability to teach coding concepts such as Python, Scratch, HTML, and basic web technologies.
- Strong classroom and laboratory management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire students towards technology and innovation.
