Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying challenges, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, collaboration with different teams, and delivering timely solutions to maintain system reliability and performance in a dynamic environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to improve system stability and optimize support processes.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical and problem-solving skills.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Design and develop applications using Oracle Visual Builder (VB/VBCS)
- Build responsive web and mobile user interfaces with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
- Integrate applications with Oracle Cloud services (ERP, HCM, REST APIs)
- Customize and extend Oracle SaaS applications using Visual Builder
- Work with RESTful APIs and backend services
- Implement business logic, workflows, and data models
- Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and stakeholders
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning
- Ensure security, scalability, and best practices in application development
- Support deployment and lifecycle management of applications
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle Cloud Visual Builder.
- This position is based at our Kolkata office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
