Job Description
Citi Markets Technology is looking to hire an experienced Business Analyst to work on Risk and PNL projects within the Markets Treasury Technology team. This is a global team with a client base spanning 70+ countries. The Markets Treasury Technology team is involved in delivering solutions for the Treasury business across a number of asset classes and products (money markets, repos, fixed income etc).
The successful candidate will need to have a strong mix of business knowledge coupled with project management experience. This role will interface with key Front Office Treasury business stakeholders, Finance, Risk, Quants and Technologists.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the Markets Treasury Businesses to deliver large-scale projects in Risk and PnL including intraday risk and t0 accuracy. Develop creative technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high volume.
- Managing relationships with various stakeholders (Desk Heads, Business managers, Quants, Other technology teams).
- Defining business requirements and functional specifications and liaising closely with the business through analysis, testing and go-live phases.
- Rolling out new products in the Risk Management systems
- Improving development processes: Includes testing deliverables and reviewing Controls
- Developing Talent: Mentoring and coaching junior members of the wider team
- Improving the Engineering of the Technology platform
- Providing leadership and strategic direction to the development teams
- Good communications skills and ability to put forward arguments persuasively.
- Manage multiple work stream and applications across geographies
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis
- Demonstrated expertise in presenting and using planning tools
- Proven diplomatic and analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact by weighing various action plans and balancing potentially conflicting needs
- Experience in agile environments
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
