Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced K-12 Math Editor to review and enhance mathematics curriculum content for primary grades (K-5) in the United States. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mathematical concept progression across grade levels and experience working with educational content and math editing tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and edit K-5 mathematics curriculum content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with educational standards.
- Evaluate mathematical concepts and skill progression across grade levels to ensure age-appropriate learning outcomes.
- Verify the correctness of mathematical content, examples, exercises, assessments, and solutions.
- Ensure content adheres to client-specific style guides, instructional design principles, and editorial standards.
- Collaborate with curriculum developers, instructional designers, subject matter experts, and project stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve content gaps, inconsistencies, and mathematical errors.
- Use Math Editor tools to create, edit, and format mathematical equations, expressions, symbols, and diagrams.
- Participate in content review cycles and implement feedback in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Education, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of K-5 mathematics curriculum and concept progression.
- Experience reviewing, editing, or developing mathematics educational content.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong written communication and proofreading abilities.
- Proficiency in using Math Editor tools and equation-editing software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on US K-12 educational publishing projects.
- Familiarity with Common Core State Standards (CCSS) or other US educational standards.
- Experience with digital learning content, assessments, and curriculum development projects.
- Prior experience working with EdTech companies, educational publishers, or curriculum development organizations.
