Position Summary
The Finishing Engineer will be responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring the quality execution of all finishing activities, including tile work, marble/granite installation, interior finishes, painting, false ceiling, waterproofing, and handover readiness. The role requires close coordination with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all finishing works at site, ensuring adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor execution of flooring and wall cladding using vitrified tiles, ceramic tiles, marble, granite, and other natural stones.
- Ensure proper alignment, level, joint finishing, polishing, and overall workmanship.
- Coordinate execution of painting, putty, POP, gypsum partitions, false ceilings, waterproofing, woodwork, modular kitchen, wardrobes, and other interior finishes.
- Review shop drawings and resolve site execution issues.
- Conduct quality inspections and prepare snag lists before handover.
- Coordinate with MEP, civil, and architecture teams to avoid execution conflicts.
- Ensure timely completion of finishing activities as per project schedule.
- Verify contractor measurements and certify bills.
- Monitor material consumption and minimise wastage.
- Maintain daily progress reports and quality records.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company SOPs.
- Participate in client inspections and final handover processes.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 8–10 years of experience in residential real estate projects.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Tile installation
- Marble & Granite works
- Stone cladding
- Waterproofing
- Painting & Texture finishes
- False Ceiling & Gypsum works
- Interior finishing
- Good understanding of construction drawings and finishing details.
- Ability to manage contractors and multiple agencies simultaneously.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Project (preferred).
