Job Description
The CGHS & ECHS Billing Executive is responsible for handling end-to-end billing processes related to CGHS (Central Government Health Scheme) and ECHS (Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme) patients. The role ensures accurate claim preparation, timely submission, compliance with government guidelines, and coordination with internal departments and external authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle billing and documentation for CGHS and ECHS patients as per approved package rates and guidelines.
- Prepare, verify, and submit claims with all required supporting documents (discharge summaries, investigation reports, bills, etc.).
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of all claim files before submission.
- Follow up with CGHS/ECHS authorities for claim approvals, queries, and reimbursements.
- Maintain proper records of submitted, pending, and approved claims.
- Resolve discrepancies, rejections, and deficiencies raised by authorities.
- Coordinate with medical, nursing, TPA, and front office teams for required documents and clarifications.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards and government billing norms.
- Maintain MIS reports related to billing, claim status, and revenue tracking.
- Stay updated with CGHS/ECHS policies, package revisions, and circulars.
