Position: Tamil Facilitator
Department: Academics
Reports To: Principal
Job Purpose
To teach Tamil effectively and create an engaging learning environment that helps students develop their reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills while fostering an appreciation for the Tamil language and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Tamil lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and academic standards.
- Encourage students to develop proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and learning resources.
- Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and academic activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and school initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tamil or a related field.
- B.Ed. qualification preferred.
- Prior teaching experience in a school setting is desirable.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage students through interactive and learner-centered teaching methods.
