Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Executive / Tally Operator to manage billing, accounting entries, customer and vendor records, and routine accounts-related work.
The candidate should have practical knowledge of Tally, GST billing, purchase and sales entries, and basic accounting procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare sales invoices, tax invoices, debit notes, and credit notes in Tally.
- Enter purchase, sales, receipt, payment, contra, and journal vouchers.
- Maintain customer and supplier ledgers.
- Record and reconcile bank transactions.
- Prepare e-way bills and assist with e-invoicing, wherever applicable.
- Check GST rates, HSN codes, discounts, and invoice details before billing.
- Maintain records of outstanding customer payments and supplier balances.
- Follow up internally for pending payment and billing information.
- Reconcile customer, supplier, bank, and cash accounts.
- Maintain purchase bills, expense vouchers, and supporting documents.
- Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance work.
- Coordinate with the sales, warehouse, dispatch, and management teams.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and accounts reports.
- Maintain accurate and organised accounting records.
- Support the accountant, CA, and management during audits and compliance reviews.
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of Tally Prime or Tally ERP.
- Good understanding of GST billing and accounting entries.
- Knowledge of e-way bills and e-invoicing.
- Basic understanding of TDS, bank reconciliation, and ledger reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage billing and documentation independently.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in billing, accounting, or Tally operations preferred.
- Freshers with strong Tally and accounting knowledge may also apply.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in a trading, distribution, import, manufacturing, or industrial products company.
- Familiarity with inventory-linked billing.
- Ability to handle multiple invoices and customer accounts accurately.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced business environment.
