Core Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management & Auditing
- Conduct regular physical stock counts of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records, investigating discrepancies immediately.
- Monitor raw material shelf life and implement procedures for spoilage and expiry management.
2. Production & Yield Analysis
- Monitor raw material consumption against theoretical standards (bill of materials) for each batch produced.
- Track production yield percentages and analyze waste, off-cuts, and processing losses.
- Collaborate with the production floor and Quality Assurance (QA) to identify inefficiencies or machinery issues causing excess product loss.
3. Costing & Pricing Strategy
- Develop and maintain standard cost sheets for all manufactured products, including ingredient, labor, and overhead costs.
- Assist the finance and product development teams in analyzing the cost feasibility of new product formulations or bulk recipes.
- Provide accurate cost data to support pricing strategies and trade margins. [1, 2, 3, 4]
4. Procurement & Vendor Oversight
- Verify purchase orders, goods receipt notes (GRN), and supplier invoices for price accuracy and contract compliance.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to monitor supplier pricing, negotiate bulk terms, and identify cost-effective ingredient sourcing.
5. Reporting & Variance Analysis
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly cost and variance reports (Budget vs. Actuals).
- Prepare Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) analysis to help management understand manufacturing profitability.
- Highlight operational cost drivers and recommend corrective actions to optimize the bottom line.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Cost Accountancy (e.g., ICWA), or Food Science/Manufacturing.
- Experience: 3-5+ years in cost control, inventory management, or financial analysis, specifically within food and beverage manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Dytel, or specialized manufacturing/inventory software).
- Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to spot trends in large data sets.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of food safety regulations, production processes, and supply chain logistics.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
