Job Description:
A WebMethods & Kubernetes Production Support Engineer is responsible for **maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting** enterprise integrations built on WebMethods, while ensuring high‑availability, reliability, and performance of services deployed on Kubernetes (K8s). This role requires strong technical depth, ownership of production stability, and excellent communication skills for cross‑team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities - Required Skills & Experience
-WebMethods Administration— Manage, configure, and support WebMethods platform and interfaces on K8s.
-WebMethods Expertise— Strong hands‑on experience with API GW, IS, UM, MWS, TN, Deployer, AT, WMIO.- **Kubernetes Proficiency** — Experience with deployments, services, ingress, config maps, secrets, autoscaling.
-Kubernetes Operations— Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot microservices running on Kubernetes AKS clusters.
-Production Support— Provide L2/L3 support, resolve incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and ensure SLA compliance.
-Linux Administration— Good command‑line and troubleshooting skills.
-CI/CD Pipelines— Support automated build and deployment of Bamboo pipelines.
-Incident & Change Management — Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
-Performance Optimization — Tune WebMethods and Kubernetes workloads for stability and efficiency.
-Documentation & Communication — Create runbooks, SOPs, and communicate clearly with stakeholders, developers, and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Docker Expertise
- Scripting — Shell, Python, or Groovy for automation.- **Cloud Platforms** — Azure, AWS, or GCP exposure (Azure preferred).
- Networking Fundamentals — DNS, load balancing, firewalls, certificates.
- Monitoring Tools — Experience with logging and monitoring stacks.
- Strong communication skills — Ability to explain technical issues to non‑technical teams and collaborate effectively.
- Prior experience in **24x7 production support** environments
