Reports To: Sales Head / Business Development Manager
Experience Required: 3–10 years (based on role level)
Education: B.Tech / B.Sc in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or relevant discipline. MBA in Marketing is a plus.
We are looking for a results-driven and experienced Sales Manager to join our Compounded Polymers team. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in polymer materials and a proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in masterbatches, engineering plastics, or custom compound solutions. The candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing key accounts, and achieving sales targets.
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in target industries (automotive, electrical, packaging, consumer goods, construction, etc.)
- Promote the company’s range of compounded polymer products including masterbatches, filled compounds, reinforced materials, and specialty blends.
- Meet or exceed sales targets, gross margin goals, and growth KPIs.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Provide technical support and product recommendations based on customer needs.
- Act as the key point of contact for clients – from initial query to after-sales support.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies.
- Gather and relay customer feedback to R&D and production teams for product development.
Technical Knowledge & Collaboration
- Work closely with the technical and production teams to ensure correct product formulations and timely deliveries.
- Understand polymer compounding technologies such as extrusion, blending, and additives.
Sales Administration
- Prepare and present accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and account updates.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with customers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical practices in sales operations.
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience in compounded polymers, masterbatches, or engineering plastics.
- In-depth knowledge of thermoplastics (PP, PE, ABS, PC, Nylon, etc.) and additives (fillers, flame retardants, UV stabilizers, etc.)
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel frequently and handle regional/national accounts.
