Job Summary:
The Stores In-Charge will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end store operations, including inventory management, material handling, and supervision of store personnel. The role requires strong leadership skills to manage manpower efficiently while ensuring accurate stock control and timely material movement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Store Operations Management
- Manage daily store activities including receiving, storage, and dispatch of materials
- Ensure proper documentation for inward and outward material movement
- Maintain FIFO / FEFO practices where applicable
- Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of materials as per operational needs
2. Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock reconciliation
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and cycle counts
- Identify and minimize inventory discrepancies and losses
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams for material planning
3. Manpower Handling
- Supervise, train, and manage store staff and workers
- Allocate tasks and monitor team performance
- Ensure discipline, safety, and productivity within the team
- Handle shift planning and manpower utilization effectively
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain proper records of GRNs, delivery challans, invoices, and stock registers
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and audit requirements
- Prepare reports related to stock, consumption, and variance
5. Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with procurement, production, logistics, and finance teams
- Ensure timely dispatch and receipt of materials
- Address operational issues and implement corrective actions
6. Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure proper storage conditions and safety measures in the store
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse/store area
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Key Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of store and warehouse operations
- Inventory management and stock control expertise
- Team handling and leadership skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Familiarity with ERP systems SAP.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Qualifications:
- Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Engineering Graduate )
- Additional certification in warehouse management is a plus
Preferred Industry Experience:
- Manufacturing / Engineering
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
