Design Engineer – Bangalore
SAN Engineering and Locomotive Company Limited is looking for a Design Engineer with experience in the Heavy Engineering industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop designs for structural and sheet-metal applications.
- Prepare 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD, Solid Edge, or equivalent design tools.
- Perform basic calculations for welding and structural material thickness selection.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects.
- Evaluate mechanical equipment and assess design feasibility.
- Collect and analyse design input data.
- Apply knowledge of GD&T, engineering standards and manufacturing processes.
Technical Knowledge:
- Structural and sheet-metal design
- GD&T
- Basic mechanical engineering principles
- Basic knowledge of gears
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic transmissions, clutches and axle drives will be an added advantage.
Eligibility:
- B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Heavy Engineering industry
