Key Responsibilities
- Analyse requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria and design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, Exploratory and End-to-End Testing.
- Design, develop and maintain reusable automation frameworks and automated test suites.
- Automate suitable functional, regression, smoke and end-to-end test scenarios.
- Perform API testing using Postman or equivalent tools and automate API tests where appropriate.
- Perform database validation using SQL and verify data consistency across UI, API and database layers.
- Identify defects, document clear reproduction steps and work closely with developers for resolution.
- Analyse automation failures, troubleshoot framework issues and perform defect/root-cause analysis.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support release validation.
- Collaborate with Developers, Product Managers and Business Analysts throughout the development lifecycle.
- Use AI tools as part of the day-to-day QA workflow to improve test coverage, accelerate automation, identify edge cases and reduce repetitive testing effort.
- Continuously improve QA processes, automation coverage and testing efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
- 5–6 years of hands-on experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or equivalent automation frameworks.
- Good programming/scripting knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java or Python.
- Strong experience in API Testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD concepts.
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps or similar defect management tools.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, Gemini or equivalent for QA/automation activities.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to independently take ownership of test planning, execution, automation, defect analysis and release validation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative Agile environment.
Good to Have:
- Strong Playwright + TypeScript experience.
- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
- API automation experience.
- Cucumber / BDD / Gherkin experience.
- Mobile application testing experience.
- Performance testing using JMeter or similar tools.
- BrowserStack or similar cross-browser testing platforms.
- Exposure to AWS / Azure cloud environments.
- Experience testing microservices and distributed applications.
- Exposure to AI/LLM-powered application testing.
- ISTQB certification.
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹950,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
