Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer

- Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance to end-users, maintain IT systems, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to manage multiple support requests efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows, macOS) and standard applications
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
- Support network connectivity issues (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)
- Install and update antivirus software and ensure endpoint security compliance
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
- Assist in system upgrades, patches, and deployments
- Respond to helpdesk tickets and provide on-site or remote support
- Collaborate with other IT teams for escalations and complex issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk role
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and basic networking concepts
- Familiarity with Active Directory and ticketing tools
- Good understanding of hardware components and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, or ITIL
- Experience with remote desktop tools and enterprise IT environments
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
