Experience
4-5 years of hands-on experience in PHP application development. Proven experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable web applications. Experience working on government, healthcare, or enterprise applications will be an added advantage.
Required Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in Core PHP. Hands-on experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony. Experience with MySQL or other relational databases. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and third-party API integrations. Familiarity with Git version control systems. Good understanding of MVC architecture and software development best practices. Experience working in Linux, Apache, or Nginx environments. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with the Laravel ecosystem. Knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. Basic understanding of cloud platforms and hosting environments. Experience with government application integrations and digital service platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP and MVC frameworks such as Laravel and CodeIgniter. Work onsite as a deputed technical resource at the NHM Office and collaborate closely with the NHM IT team. Maintain and support government web portals and internal applications. Design, develop, and manage integrations with third-party systems, APIs, and government platforms, including SSD and Utprerona. Support salary processing modules, payroll functionalities, and employee data management systems. Generate and manage MIS reports, operational reports, dashboards, and analytics reports required by government departments. Monitor application performance and ensure uninterrupted functioning of production systems. Provide technical support to end users and resolve application-related issues within agreed timelines. Ensure data accuracy, security, confidentiality, and compliance with government IT standards and policies. Perform database administration, optimization, backup, and maintenance activities using MySQL/PostgreSQL. Coordinate with internal development teams, vendors, and government stakeholders for issue resolution and system enhancements. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system manuals, change logs, and project reports. Participate in testing, deployment, and post-deployment support activities.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates based in Assam are preferred. Ability to communicate in Assamese will be an added advantage. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently in a government office environment while coordinating with multiple teams.
