Senior Hardware Technician responsible for advanced-level hardware assembly, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electronic/IoT devices. Handles complex technical issues, supports junior staff, and ensures high-quality hardware performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of electronic and IoT hardware
- Diagnose complex hardware faults at component and board level
- Carry out PCB (Printed Circuit Board) inspection, soldering, and rework
- Support assembly, testing, and validation of devices before deployment
- Analyze recurring hardware issues and suggest corrective actions
- Coordinate with design and development teams for hardware improvements
- Maintain testing tools, equipment, and calibration records
- Supervise and guide junior technicians and ensure quality work output
- Handle RMA (Return Material Authorization) cases and failure analysis
- Maintain records of repairs, replacements, and testing reports
- Ensure proper inventory management of components and spares
- Support field teams in resolving hardware-related issues
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of electronic components and circuit design basics
- Expertise in PCB troubleshooting and soldering techniques
- Hands-on experience with testing tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
- Understanding of microcontrollers and embedded hardware systems
- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and schematics
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Leadership ability to manage and guide technicians
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or related field
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in hardware troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance
- Experience in IoT or embedded hardware preferred
