Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled 3 - 4 yrs experience in EMI/EMC & Electronics Testing Engineer to support laboratory testing, validation, and PCB assembly activities. The role involves conducting compliance testing as per international standards, analyzing results, supporting prototype development, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct EMI/EMC testing as per applicable standards
- Perform electrical safety testing (insulation resistance, temperature rise, continuity, earth bond, leakage current, protection verification)
- Prepare test plans, procedures, and detailed test reports
- Analyze test data and perform root cause analysis for failures
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory standards
- Support functional, environmental, and wiring harness testing
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to resolve testing issues
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports
- Operate, maintain laboratory equipment, and manage calibration records
- Perform PCB soldering, rework, and assembly (SMT & through-hole)
- Identify and rectify defects such as dry joints, solder bridges, and misalignment
- Support prototype assembly, debugging, and testing activities
- Use soldering/desoldering tools and inspection equipment effectively
- Follow ESD-safe handling practices during assembly and testing
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and laboratory quality standards
- Maintain HSSE and laboratory safety procedures
- Verify grounding/earthing and safety compliance for critical systems

Skills
- Strong knowledge of EMI/EMC testing
- Expertise in electrical safety testing (insulation resistance, earth bond, leakage current)
- Experience in functional and environmental testing
- Understanding of wiring harness testing
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in test plan creation and report preparation
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers
- Familiarity with signal generators, power supplies, and DAQ systems
- Experience with firmware/software testing tools
- Skilled in PCB soldering and rework (SMT & through-hole)
- Knowledge of electronic assembly and debugging
- Ability to identify electronic components accurately
- Understanding of ESD handling procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
