We are looking for a skilled Soup Specialist to prepare and maintain high-quality soups, broths, and related menu items. The candidate should have experience in food preparation, stock making, seasoning, and maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare soups, broths, and stocks according to standard recipes.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and portion sizes.
- Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, and seasonings.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and storage conditions.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the soup preparation area.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Manage inventory and report ingredient requirements to the kitchen supervisor.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain cost control.
Requirements
- Experience in soup preparation or a similar kitchen role.
- Good knowledge of stocks, broths, seasonings, and cooking techniques.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts or Hospitality (preferred).
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, or catering kitchens.
