OT Technician / Operation Theatre Technician
Job Summary
An OT Technician assists surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining the operation theatre, surgical instruments, and equipment. They ensure a sterile environment and support patient care before, during, and after surgery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operation theatre before surgeries
- Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operations
- Arrange surgical tools, drapes, and medical supplies
- Monitor operation theatre equipment and report faults
- Maintain infection control and safety standards
- Assist in patient positioning and transportation
- Dispose of biomedical waste according to hospital policies
- Keep accurate records of surgical instruments and supplies
- Clean and reset the operation theatre after procedures
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Operation Theatre Technology / Surgical Technology
- Certification in OT techniques (preferred)
- Knowledge of sterilization procedures and infection control
- Basic understanding of surgical instruments and equipment

Experience
