Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will not only assist in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting core accounting operations, but you will also play an active role in ERP implementation projects, working as a Functional Consultant in Finance. You will gain hands-on experience in accounting processes, financial reporting, system-based accounting practices, and real-world ERP deployments using platforms such as Odoo.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the configuration and setup of accounting modules in ERP systems, including Chart of Accounts, Journals, Tax structures, and Payment terms.
- Participate in ERP implementation projects as a Finance Functional Consultant, supporting requirement gathering, system configuration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live activities.
- Help clients understand and adopt ERP-based accounting workflows, providing functional support and training during and after implementation.
- Assist with bank reconciliation and account reconciliations within the ERP system.
- Record and verify invoices, payments, and expenses in the system and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Assist in generating financial reports such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Tax reports through the ERP platform.
- Support audits, statutory compliance activities, and month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Work closely with technical teams during ERP implementations to ensure finance modules are configured accurately as per client requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, Accounting, or Finance
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo knowledge is an advantage).
- Good understanding of Excel and basic accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
