Purpose of the Role
Ensure every product manufactured in the factory matches approved drawings and quality standards while minimizing production defects, rework, and customer complaints.
Key ResponsibilitiesIncoming Material Inspection
- Check plywood, MDF, laminates, edge bands, hardware, and accessories.
- Verify material quality before production.
In-Process Inspection
Inspect each manufacturing stage:
- Panel cutting
- CNC drilling
- Edge banding
- Grooving
- Lamination
- Assembly
- Polishing/Painting
- Glass and hardware fitting
Final Inspection
- Check dimensions.
- Verify hardware installation.
- Check alignment and gaps.
- Inspect finish quality.
- Verify scratches, dents, chips, and edge quality.
- Ensure all accessories are fitted.
- Verify labels before packing.
Packing & Dispatch QC
- Check packing quality.
- Ensure complete project dispatch.
- Verify packing list and BOM.
- Prevent missing components.
Documentation
- Maintain QC reports.
- Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Track rework.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis.
- Suggest preventive actions.
Quality Targets
- Reduce factory rework.
- Reduce installation complaints.
- Improve first-pass yield.
- Improve dispatch accuracy.
Required Skills
- 3–8 years in Modular Furniture Manufacturing.
- Experience in factory QC.
- Knowledge of CNC, edge banding, assembly, polishing.
- Strong understanding of drawings.
- Good problem-solving skills.
Qualification
- Diploma/B.E. Mechanical / Production / Civil / Furniture Technology.
Salary (Coimbatore)
Pay: ₹37,500.00 - ₹62,500.00 per month
