Job Title: Computer Teacher (PRT / PGT) Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Computer Teacher (PRT/PGT) to join our institution. The candidate will be responsible for teaching computer science concepts, fostering digital literacy, and developing students’ practical and theoretical skills.
Key Responsibilities For PRT (Primary Teacher – Computer)
- Teach basic computer skills to primary classes (Grades 1–5)
- Introduce students to fundamentals such as:
- Computer parts
- Basic typing skills
- Simple software (Paint, MS Word, etc.)
- Develop engaging lesson plans and activities
- Use interactive teaching methods (games, visuals, storytelling)
- Ensure a safe and disciplined classroom environment
- Monitor and evaluate student progress
- Support students in developing digital awareness and safe internet use
For PGT (Computer Science Teacher)
- Teach advanced computer science subjects (Grades 9–12 or higher)
- Subjects may include:
- Programming (Python, Java, C++)
- Database Management
- Networking basics
- Computer theory (as per curriculum such as CBSE)
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and assessments
- Guide students in projects, practicals, and board exam preparation
- Stay updated with latest technologies and teaching practices
- Conduct lab sessions and ensure proper use of computer labs
- Mentor students for competitions, coding events, etc.
General Responsibilities (Applicable to Both)
- Maintain attendance and academic records
- Collaborate with other teachers and school staff
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and school events
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress
- Ensure proper maintenance of computer lab and equipment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT or related field
- B.Ed. preferred
PGT:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science / IT
- B.Ed. mandatory (preferred as per school norms)
