Job Summary
The FMCG Field Sales Executive is responsible for achieving sales targets, developing and maintaining relationships with retailers, distributors, and wholesalers, ensuring product availability, and expanding market coverage within the assigned territory. The role involves regular market visits, order collection, merchandising, and monitoring competitor activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Generate sales through retailers, wholesalers, and distributors.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and outlets.
- Increase product penetration and market share within the territory.
- Ensure effective execution of sales and promotional activities.
Retailer & Distributor Management
- Maintain strong relationships with retailers and distributors.
- Collect orders and coordinate timely delivery with distributors.
- Resolve retailer and customer concerns promptly.
- Monitor distributor stock levels and ensure product availability.
Market Coverage
- Conduct daily market visits as per the route plan.
- Expand distribution reach by onboarding new retail outlets.
- Ensure visibility and availability of products at all assigned outlets.
- Track and report market trends and customer feedback.
Merchandising & Promotion
- Ensure proper product display and shelf placement.
- Implement company promotional schemes and marketing activities.
- Monitor product freshness and stock rotation where applicable.
- Maintain branding materials at retail outlets.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily sales reports and market visit reports.
- Track sales performance against targets.
- Submit expense reports and sales data on time.
- Maintain accurate customer and outlet records.
Competitor Analysis
- Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, and new product launches.
- Share market intelligence with management.
- Recommend strategies to improve sales performance.
Required Skills
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Relationship management and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of FMCG sales processes.
- Ability to work independently and meet targets.
- Familiarity with mobile sales applications and MS Excel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferred).
- 1–3 years of FMCG sales experience (freshers may be considered for trainee roles).
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
